Relationship between training load and law enforcement recruit injuries during academy training

Introduction: Law enforcement is a profession interspersed with periods of high intensity, physically demanding occupational requirements such as chasing suspects. To prepare for this occupation, law agencies typically utilise training known academies. These academies represent sudden increase in physical load, and mental stress. It therefore unsurprising that these result rates injury. The aim research was to assess the relationship between load factors injury risk recruits. Methods: A retrospective desktop analysis conducted profile across seven academy classes. Estimates were based on cohort, rather than an individual level there overall workload instead individualized.
